Grodno Kindergarten Evacuated After Electrical Fire

A short circuit occurred in the electrical panel of the basement of kindergarten No. 42 in Grodno on May 19, 2025. Smoke filled the building, prompting a swift evacuation of children and staff. Emergency services arrived within minutes to extinguish the smoke. According to Tatyana Shish, the deputy head of the kindergarten for administrative work, "The alarm system worked, we saw the smoke in the basement, and immediately evacuated the children." No injuries were reported, and the kindergarten resumed its normal operations shortly after the incident.
