
Grodno Storm: Fallen Trees Damage Property, but No Injuries Reported
Grodno, Belarus, faced the consequences of a severe storm on June 5, 2025. The storm caused widespread damage, with 16 reports of fallen trees requiring emergency services' intervention. "In the wake of the storm, we responded to numerous calls for assistance," stated a spokesperson for the Grodno Emergency Services. The damage included two cars damaged by falling trees on Zakharova and Gorky streets, and a gazebo destroyed on Sovetskikh Pogranichnikov Street. A tree also fell on a children's playground on Budyonny Street. Despite the significant damage, thankfully, no injuries were reported. The quick response and efficient work of the emergency services prevented further harm and ensured the safety of the residents. The city is now working to clear the remaining debris and restore normalcy.
