Shoppers left disappointed by state of Primark store
The new store has reportedly seen queues and sparsely stocked shelves
MANCHESTER, UK The highly anticipated new Primark Home store at The Trafford Centre has opened its doors, but early visitors are reporting significant stock shortages, leading to disappointment among shoppers. Despite attempts to visit during off-peak hours, many customers are finding shelves largely bare, with popular homeware items quickly selling out. One shopper, Hannah Gracey, documented her visit on Monday night, hoping to avoid queues. Her video, widely shared online, showcased extensive empty shelf space and a limited selection of products, primarily seasonal Halloween decor. Comments from other customers echoed Gracey’s experience. One user stated, “No queues but no stock 🤣 good to know x.” Another, claiming to work at the main store, explained the situation: “Honestly we have been overrun with customers, and it’s difficult to get stock over there and out due to the queues and amount of customers, best time to go is when they first open at 10am in the morning, worst time is between 1-4pm.” However, not all feedback was positive regarding the available items. A disappointed shopper commented, “I went today and it was so disappointing. The shelves were full but just full with rubbish. It’s all Halloween themed?? no thanks.” Another added, “I went at 12:30 today and it was semi sold out already and ngl it doesn’t hit like the stock is meh, it’s all Halloween, and the layout sucks.” The situation highlights the immense popularity of Primark Home products, with demand outstripping initial supply and leading to a scramble for new arrivals. Shoppers are advised to plan their visits carefully, with early morning hours suggested for the best chance of finding desired items.
