Local Woman Rescues Abandoned Dog, Seeks Owner or New Home
A local resident, known as 'Hey Sarah' online, has embarked on a heartwarming mission to find a permanent home for an abandoned dog she discovered at a local park. The dog, affectionately named Chewie, was found by the resident and, after a bath, was taken to a veterinarian to check for a microchip. Despite efforts, Chewie was found to be unchipped, indicating he had no registered owner. "He's the sweetest little boy," the resident stated, explaining that she has been fostering Chewie temporarily. While she already cares for a feral cat, she is committed to ensuring Chewie finds a loving home. "My task is to either find his owner or find him a new home," she added, expressing her desire to avoid taking him to a shelter. To aid in her search, the resident has posted "dog found" flyers in the neighborhood and online, hoping to reunite Chewie with his original family or connect him with a new, caring owner. The community is encouraged to share information to help Chewie find his forever home.
