Senior Chihuahuas Seek Forever Home Together
Fort Lauderdale, Florida—A heartwarming story of companionship and resilience unfolds at the Humane Society of Broward County. Ten-year-old Yago and eight-year-old Lucia, two senior Chihuahuas, arrived at the shelter after their owner fell ill. "They deserve a second chance together!" says a spokesperson for the shelter. Despite facing challenges—Lucia has heartworm—the dogs' bond remains strong. The shelter is providing free treatment, and staff describe them as "wonderful," friendly with adults, children, and other dogs. "They love being pet and just want to be close to you," adds the spokesperson. The shelter is urging people to adopt or share their story, hoping to find a loving home for Yago and Lucia, allowing them to enjoy their golden years together. The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.
