Carnival Cruise Line has announced new policies set to take effect in June 2025, impacting various aspects of guest conduct and boarding procedures. The updates aim to enhance safety and guest experience onboard. Among the significant changes is a new teen curfew, requiring guests under 18 to observe a 1:00 AM curfew in public areas unless accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older. The age policy for solo cruisers has also been updated; individuals must now be 21 years or older, or sail with someone aged 25 or older. Teens aged 18 to 20 will be required to book their cruise with a guardian. For safety reasons, Carnival has implemented a ban on folding "clack" fans inside nightclubs and indoor dance floors. However, battery-powered fans will still be permitted. Additionally, a new pool chair rule stipulates that chairs left unattended for 40 minutes or more may have their items cleared by the crew. The cruise line also reinforced its behavior policy, stating that disruptive guests can be removed from the ship without a refund and may face fines up to $500. Regarding boarding, passengers are now required to check in online by midnight before sailing and print their boarding pass and luggage tags. All required travel documents, including ID, passport, and visa, must be presented for boarding.
