Kotor Implements Stricter Traffic Measures for Tourist Season
Kotor, Montenegro, a picturesque town nestled on the Bay of Kotor, is preparing for the upcoming tourist season with a set of new measures aimed at improving safety and order. Starting June 15th, the city will implement stricter traffic regulations, including mandatory time slots for buses entering the city center. This initiative is designed to alleviate traffic congestion and improve the overall visitor experience. "We are committed to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors to Kotor," said Vladimir Jokic, the mayor of Kotor, in a recent interview. In addition to bus time slots, the city will increase parking control and activate tow trucks to remove illegally parked vehicles. Furthermore, new bollards will be installed in strategic locations to better manage traffic flow and pedestrian safety. To assist residents and tourists, an interactive map will be available online, clearly indicating available public parking spaces that are not currently under lease. This comprehensive approach demonstrates Kotor's commitment to responsible tourism and a safe environment for all.
