Spain to Regularize Almost a Million Immigrants Under New Law
Spain's Socialist Party (PSOE) is currently engaged in negotiations with various parliamentary groups within the Congress to establish a framework for the regularization of nearly half a million immigrants. This initiative is closely tied to the implementation of a new immigration regulation, which is expected to facilitate the regularization of one million foreign nationals over the next three years. The regulation aims to streamline the process and address the situation of immigrants in Spain. In addition to the half a million immigrants targeted by the current negotiations, the new regulation will also extend to another 300,000 individuals who have previously had their asylum applications denied. The PSOE's commitment to this regularization process signifies a significant step toward addressing immigration issues in Spain. While the details of the negotiations remain to be finalized, the expected outcome is a more inclusive and efficient system for managing immigration within the country. This move reflects the government's intention to create a more welcoming environment for immigrants while ensuring the integrity of the immigration process.
