Cargo Ship Runs Aground in Norwegian Fjord, Then Gets Refloated
A large cargo ship, the NCL Salten, ran aground in a stunningly picturesque fjord in Norway last Thursday. The unusual incident captivated the world's attention as images circulated online showing the vessel partially embedded in the shoreline near a private home. The incident resulted in a temporary disruption, but thankfully, there were no reports of injuries or significant environmental damage. The video from Informativos Telecinco shows the dramatic process of refloating the ship. After waiting for high tide, crews worked to unload some of the cargo to lighten the vessel. Once this was done, tugboats successfully pulled the NCL Salten back into deeper water. "It was a complex operation," stated a spokesperson for the salvage team, "but we were able to complete it safely thanks to the cooperation of all involved and the favorable tide."
