Tragedy Strikes Murcia Fair: Two-Year-Old Electrocuted, Others Injured A tragic accident occurred at a funfair in Alquerías, Murcia, Spain on June 15, 2025, resulting in the death of a two-year-old girl and injuries to three other children. The incident happened around 12:00 AM when the children were using a trampoline. According to Nuria Gutiérrez, a reporter at the scene for Informativos Telecinco, "The accident appears to have happened when the minors were jumping on trampolines and touched an electrified metal fence surrounding the attraction." Emergency services responded swiftly, spending approximately an hour attempting to resuscitate the young girl, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful. The three other children sustained injuries and received medical attention. The Guardia Civil is currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the electrical fault and to ensure such tragedies are avoided in the future. The fairground remains closed pending the investigation.
