Vietare smartphone a studenti:l'esperimento funziona, primi risultati da scuole…
Un progetto nel Regno Unito limita l’uso degli smartphone tra i minori per tutelare la salute mentale. Coinvolte oltre 13.000 scuole.
A report by a UK parliamentary committee has recommended a ban on mobile phones in schools and a complete ban for under-16s. The recommendation follows a concerning 53% rise in screen time among young people between 2020 and 2022. Committee members expressed worries about the impact of social media on the mental health of young people. While schools have already been advised to ban phones, the committee believes a more comprehensive approach is needed. The government's Online Safety Bill is seen as a step in the right direction, but its full implementation is not expected until 2026. 'The evidence is clear,' said one MP, 'we need to act decisively to protect our children from the harmful effects of excessive screen time.' The report highlights the need for a balanced approach, recognizing the educational benefits of technology while acknowledging the potential risks.
