'Australian owned' fashion label under fire for infuriating issue
A Perth woman has vented her frustration as she continues to wait for her order to arrive.
Sydney, Australia – A recent online shopping experience has prompted a local woman to issue a public warning against the clothing brand "Emelia the Label." Jacinta, who shared her story on social media, claims she ordered a dress on July 22 for an upcoming birthday celebration, expecting delivery within the advertised 5-8 business days for Australian orders. However, as of August 6, the item had not arrived, leaving her without the dress for her event. Jacinta reported attempting to contact "Emelia the Label" multiple times via email and Instagram. While she eventually received a response on Instagram stating her order was "in transit," she noted that the tracking information on the company's website showed no such status. Further investigation revealed a pattern of similar complaints from other customers across various online platforms. "I just assumed, okay, worst-case scenario, it doesn't come in time, and I'll just wear it to another event," Jacinta stated in her video. "I didn't f***ing think that apparently it's not coming. I'm not getting anything." Comments on Jacinta's video echoed her concerns, with one user stating, "Yes Emelia the label are scammers!! Just contact your bank and get your money back." Another shared a similar experience: "i ordered a set from them december 2024 and it arrived april 18th this year, i just accepted it wasn’t coming and i got scammed but the set finally came randomly one day and i love the set but no one wants to wait 4 months for something to arrive!!!" Some users suggested disputing the charges with banks or PayPal, indicating a known issue with the company's delivery and customer service. The situation highlights the growing challenges consumers face with online retailers and the importance of thorough research before making purchases.
