Comedian perfectly explains the two wildly different types of millennials
If you're Type 1, your best friend is definitely Type 2.
London, UK - Comedian Jake Lambert has released a new observational sketch delving into the perceived dichotomy within the millennial generation. Titled "A Bit About Millennials," the video, shared by a fan page, offers a humorous take on the diverse life paths of individuals born between the early 1980s and mid-1990s. Lambert identifies two primary archetypes: the "chaos millennial" and the "responsible millennial." According to Lambert, the "chaos millennial" typically rents with friends or a partner and holds a "proper job," yet this employment is described as "the only one mature thing in their life." He suggests that for eight hours a day, five days a week, these individuals "convince other people that they're actually a fully functioning adult." In contrast, Lambert describes the "responsible millennial" as those who have "married with children, they've got a mortgage." Despite these traditional markers of adulthood, he posits that they "still actually feel like a child living in an adult's body." The comedian concludes by noting that these two seemingly opposite types of millennials are often friends, yet "neither of them can quite understand how the other one is managing to live like that." He illustrates this with a scenario where one excitedly discusses their children's achievements, while the other expresses equal enthusiasm for a favorite band's reunion tour. The sketch aims to highlight the generational nuances and shared feelings of arrested development that resonate with many millennials.
