Paris, France – An unusual event unfolded at Disneyland Paris where a staged wedding, reportedly involving a 22-year-old man and a 9-year-old girl, led to multiple arrests and the immediate shutdown of the park area. According to a statement from the prosecutor’s office in Meaux, four individuals were apprehended and questioned. These included the alleged groom, identified as a 22-year-old British national believed to be the event’s organizer, the 41-year-old mother of the child, and two Latvian nationals aged 55 and 24. The relationship of the Latvian individuals to the child was not disclosed. The ceremony, scheduled for dawn outside public opening hours, was quickly halted by Disneyland Paris staff. Guests were reportedly prevented from entering the premises. A medical examination of the young girl indicated she had not suffered any violence. While the circumstances remain under investigation, the prosecutor’s office has not ruled out the possibility that the event was a prank. A police source later revealed that the groom claimed to be the director of a production company and stated they were shooting a video. This was corroborated by the prosecutor’s office, which explained, "So it wasn't a wedding, but a staged wedding filmed with around a hundred extras. They privatized Disneyland Paris, pretending it was a real wedding." A wedding guest expressed shock, telling a French newspaper, "We thought we were all going to attend a wedding. Everyone was stunned, no one expected it. Disneyland did things very well. They canceled everything as soon as they realized the bride was a child. We were shocked to see that." Authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
