Weight Loss Journey: Woman Shares Candid Experience with GLP-1 Medications and Compounded Pharmacy Differences
A recent online video by content creator Jersey Justyna offers a candid look into her personal weight loss journey using GLP-1 medications. Justyna, who has been documenting her experience, shared insights into the effectiveness and side effects of both Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. In her video, Justyna revealed her weekly weigh-ins, showing a significant weight loss of 10 pounds midway through her update, reaching 178.8 lbs from an initial 188.0 lbs. She detailed various side effects, including nausea, dry mouth, and constipation, which she manages with supplements like magnesium citrate. "I'm never going to complain about being constipated ever again," she remarked, highlighting the severity of the side effect. Justyna also drew comparisons between different compounded pharmacies providing Tirzepatide. She noted that medications from pharmacies with longer 'beyond-use dates' (BUD) seemed more effective in suppressing her appetite and reducing 'food noise' – a term she used to describe persistent thoughts about food. "The longer the BUD date, the more effective it was for me," she stated, explaining that some compounded medications were less effective, leading to a quicker return of hunger and overeating. She emphasized that her findings were based on her personal experience, acknowledging that other factors could influence medication efficacy.
