Jordan Bardella Proposes National Priority for Social Benefits and Housing in France
Paris, France – Jordan Bardella, President of the National Rally, has outlined his vision for a national priority in social benefits and housing, asserting that the state must prioritize French citizens. During a recent conference, Bardella stated his commitment to reserving family allowances for French families and conditioning the active solidarity income (RSA) on five years of presence and work on French territory. "I say it and I stand by it, it's true: family allowances will be reserved for families where one of the two parents is of French nationality," Bardella declared. He further elaborated on the RSA, explaining that under his proposed policy, it would be contingent on five years of employment within France. Addressing the housing crisis, Bardella emphasized the need for French citizens to have priority in social housing. "In social housing, we have 2.7 million French households waiting for social housing," he noted, advocating for a system where those with French identity cards, who are "at home in their own country," receive preferential access. He clarified that this would be a priority, not an exclusivity, for French citizens in accessing social housing.
