Nonie Hub's Ablepreneurs Project 2.0 Empowers Ghanaian Entrepreneurs with Disabilities A Ghanaian NGO, Nonie Hub, recently concluded its Ablepreneurs Project 2.0, a five-month initiative aimed at empowering 20 entrepreneurs with disabilities. The project, a collaboration with School of Thoughts and funded by the Resolution Project, provided comprehensive business skills training and valuable startup kits. Training covered essential areas such as bookkeeping, online marketing, and customer retention, equipping participants with practical skills for success. At the program's culmination, each of the 19 participants received tools valued at approximately 70,000 Ghanaian Cedis. These included ovens, hair dryers, weaving looms, and mobile power banks. "You've turned our lives around!" exclaimed one enthusiastic beneficiary, highlighting the transformative impact of the project. The project's success underscores the potential of targeted initiatives to foster economic independence and social inclusion for people with disabilities. The project leaders expressed hope that the government would consider tax exemptions for such businesses to further support their growth. The project's success serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating the power of collaboration and support in creating opportunities for marginalized communities.
