Constanta, Romania – Authorities have dismantled a significant drug trafficking operation, seizing substantial quantities of narcotics ingeniously hidden behind picture frames within a tourist complex. The bust, dubbed "Operation Constanta," led to the arrest of several foreign nationals involved in the illicit trade. According to investigators, the suspects introduced high-risk drugs into Romania, including 300 ecstasy pills, 70 pink cocaine pills, 100 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of ketamine, hashish, and methamphetamine. These substances were intended for sale at an electronic music festival in the Mamaia resort area. Prosecutors and police from the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) and the Brigade for Combating Organized Crime (BCCO) apprehended the individuals in flagrante delicto. The traffickers were also found to be promoting and selling the drugs through encrypted messaging applications.
