Two Minor Siblings Rescued from Abusive Home in Arad, Parents Face Protection Order
ARAD, Romania – Two minor siblings, a 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy from Arad, have been rescued from severe abuse at home, with their parents now facing accusations of mistreatment and abuse. The children were reportedly subjected to beatings, starvation, and forced labor, being denied access to education and medical care. The case came to light after the older brother fled home, prompting his parents to report him missing to the police. Upon being found, the teenager recounted the horrific conditions and abuse he and his sister endured. His sister also disclosed that their father had wounded her at the base of her nose and then sewed the wound himself, instead of taking her to a hospital, forcing her to wear a mask. An official lawyer requested a protection order on behalf of the children for an 11-month period, which was immediately approved by the judge. The parents are now legally prohibited from approaching the children. Both minors are currently in a care center, while investigations into the abuse continue.
