ICE and FBI Conduct Immigration Raids in Los Angeles, Sparking Protests
Multiple federal agencies conducted immigration enforcement operations across Los Angeles on Friday, June 6, 2025. The operations, involving agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), led to several arrests and sparked protests. Video footage obtained by KCAL News from the Citizen app shows ICE agents escorting handcuffed men outside a store on Wilshire Boulevard, while FBI agents were present at the Ambiance clothing store in the Fashion District. Dozens of protestors gathered outside the Ambiance store. An ICE spokesperson confirmed that federal agents were executing search warrants related to the harboring of undocumented individuals. "Due to ensuring the safety of their personnel," the statement said, "they will not confirm or discuss the existence or status of any operations until they say it's 'appropriate'." The video also shows arrests in the Westlake District, which, according to the reporter, occurred approximately two hours prior to the events in the Fashion District. The operations highlight the ongoing complexities of immigration enforcement in the United States and the public's varied reactions to such actions.
