Meet Kelley Heyer: Actor, Fashion Queer, and Creator of the "Apple" Dance
"When I posted the first video, there were about 200 videos under the sound... today it has 400,000."
In a recent social media update, popular content creator Kelley Heyer has called for a shift in online behavior concerning dance credit. Heyer, known for choreographing a viral dance, posted a video addressing the widespread attention her creation has received. "I need you all to know that it’s okay if someone doesn’t tag me in the caption of their dance," Heyer stated, acknowledging the organic growth of the trend. She expressed appreciation for the intent behind fans' efforts to tag her but condemned aggressive tactics. "Frankly it’s embarrassing when people are yelling in the comments of someone else’s video to tag me. Especially in Charli’s comments!!!" Heyer clarified that she is not "begging" for credit and reiterated, "If people tag me, that’s great, if people don’t tag me, that’s okay too!!" She urged her followers to "please be kind to each other" and foster a respectful online environment, concluding, "Everyone deserves to have a brat summer."
