French Surgeon Sentenced: Systemic Failures Exposed in Case of 300 Victims
A French surgeon, Joel Le Scouarnec, was recently sentenced to 20 years in prison for the assault and rape of almost 300 victims. The crimes spanned over three decades and primarily occurred in his workplace. Manon Lemoine, one of the victims, shared her experience in a recent video interview. "He was a pervers polymorph," she stated, referring to his multiple perversions. The interview also highlighted the "Operation Falcon" investigation, which uncovered Le Scouarnec's possession of child pornography. Despite a colleague's warning in 2006, Le Scouarnec continued his practice until his arrest in 2017. The case exposes systemic failures in protecting children and highlights the need for greater awareness and legal reform. The victims' collective is now working to ensure lasting changes are made.
