Claudia Sheinbaum's Cross-Country Tour Highlights Justice, Investment, and Infrastructure Mexico City, May 13, 2025 – Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum recently concluded a productive tour across Mexico, focusing on key initiatives in Nayarit, Guerrero, and the Mexico City-Edomex region. The tour showcased significant advancements in justice, economic development, and infrastructure projects. In Yesca, Nayarit, Sheinbaum announced progress on a justice plan for the Wixárika people, culminating in the return of over 5,000 hectares of land. "We are returning 5,000 hectares to the Wixárika people," Sheinbaum stated, emphasizing the significance of this land restitution for the community. Further, Sheinbaum highlighted the robust economic performance of Nuevo Nayarit during a banking convention. In Guerrero, she announced a historic 3 billion peso investment in the "Acapulco se Transforma" program, aimed at improving water, health, road infrastructure, tourism, public transport, housing, and environmental projects. Finally, Sheinbaum announced the upcoming May 18th launch of an elevated trolleybus system connecting Chalco and Santa Marta Acatitla, benefiting nearly 3 million commuters in the Mexico City-Edomex region. This significant investment in public transport will improve connectivity and ease commutes for a large population.
