Former Guanajuato Governor Sinhue Confirms Renting 20 Million Peso House in Texas from Government Contractor
MEXICO CITY – Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, the former governor of Guanajuato, has confirmed that he rents a house in The Woodlands, Texas, valued at 20 million pesos. The confirmation comes amid scrutiny regarding his family's residence in the United States. Rodríguez Vallejo stated that the property is not his, and that it is solely inhabited by his wife and daughters. "I don't live there, only my wife and daughters do," he affirmed. He also added that he has "nothing to hide" regarding the property. Further investigation revealed that the house is owned by Daniel Esquenazi Beraha, a representative of Seguritec. Seguritec is a company that served as a provider to the Guanajuato state government during Rodríguez Vallejo's tenure as governor. This connection has raised questions regarding potential conflicts of interest, given the significant value of the rented property and the business relationship between the owner and the former governor's administration.
