According to a colleague, a dispatcher, whose name was not disclosed, opened the crossing despite an approaching train. "She only had time to press the button to let the bus out," the colleague said, "and then she realized what could have happened." The dispatcher's quick reaction prevented a potential catastrophe. The freight train stopped just 300 meters from the crossing. Following the incident, the dispatcher was commended by the head of the October Railway for her quick thinking and professionalism.
