Galician Teen's Passion: A 19-Year-Old Farmer's Inspiring Story
In the heart of Galicia, Spain, a 19-year-old named Pedro García López is defying expectations and embracing his passion for animal care. Hailing from Viana do Bolo, Pedro made the move to Melide to study Gandaría e Asistencia en Sanidade Animal (Livestock Farming and Animal Health Assistance). But his dedication to animals didn't wait for his degree. He's already working at Casa Menor, a livestock and agricultural farm in Boimorto, where he skillfully manages the daily care of the animals. "It's a job that can't be compared," Pedro says, "The peace of mind it gives me and the animals... you have to try it to understand." His story is an inspiring example of young people finding fulfillment in rural life and pursuing their dreams, offering a refreshing perspective on agriculture and animal husbandry. The video, produced by La Voz de Galicia, beautifully captures his daily work, from feeding calves to tending to the cows in the pasture.
