
European Parliamentarians Visit Belarus: A Step Towards Improved Relations?
European Parliamentarians Visit Belarus at LDPB Invitation A delegation of European Parliament members has arrived in Belarus at the invitation of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus (LDPB). Their visit, which began on June 5th, 2025, includes a tour of the Belagro-2025 agricultural exhibition and the Great Patriotic War Museum. The MEPs will also meet with Belarusian parliamentarians and LDPB officials. According to LDPB leader Oleg Gaidukevich, this visit "underlines that Belarus has many friends in Europe." The program also includes discussions on economic and political issues and media appearances. The visit is seen as a step towards improving relations between Belarus and the European Union, particularly in preparation for the "For Peace and Development" Congress, scheduled for autumn 2025 in Minsk.
