Actress Ayo Edebiri recently shared a unique insight into her method acting approach during an interview at the SXSW festival. Edebiri revealed that she spent four months living in Ireland to fully immerse herself in a role, embodying the character of a donkey. "I was on all fours for four months, and it was really painful but beautiful as well," Edebiri stated, describing the experience as one of the most fulfilling parts of her career. She humorously added, "I'm so happy for everybody going to the Oscars, even though I deserved the nomination more than anybody else because I was obviously a donkey for four months." Edebiri concluded by expressing her hope that "little girls out there everywhere to know that they, too, can be a donkey one day," showcasing her lighthearted perspective on her dedicated craft.
