En mor spurgte en anden kvinde, hvorvidt de kunne bytte sæde, men grunden er blevet beskrevet som værende 'ynkelig'.
A recent viral video has ignited a heated debate on social media regarding airline seat etiquette, specifically whether passengers should be obligated to surrender their pre-booked seats for children. The video, shared by TikTok user @life_in_mini_stories, documents a tense exchange between a passenger and a mother on an airplane. The passenger, who had pre-selected and paid for a window seat, was approached by a mother requesting she switch seats so her son could sit by the window. The passenger politely declined, stating, "No, sorry. I can't. I actually picked this seat ahead of time. I like watching the clouds too." This refusal reportedly escalated the situation. The mother allegedly responded with indignation, saying, "Seriously? Is it that hard for you?? He's just a kid! No one's ever refused before." She then reportedly added, "You must not have kids - otherwise you'd know it's normal to give up your seat for a child! Or do you actually want him crying the whole flight?" The passenger maintained her stance, asserting her right to the seat she booked: "Ma'am, that's not my problem. And I'm not giving up my seat. If you wanted your son to sit by the window, you should've planned ahead and booked a window seat." The mother then allegedly accused the passenger of being selfish, stating, "I'm not paying extra just because one person thinks she's smarter than everyone else. People always give up their seat for my child - you're the only one making a scene. You're a grown woman. Have some shame." The passenger countered, "Exactly! I'm a grown woman. I plan ahead and book the seat I want, instead of guilt-tripping strangers into giving theirs up." The confrontation intensified when the mother reportedly began recording the passenger, exclaiming, "Look at this, everyone. Remember this woman's face!" The passenger then warned, "I did not give you permission to film me. Put the phone down, or I'll call the flight attendant." As the mother walked away, she was heard saying, "What's happening to this world? When did we lose basic decency?" The video has garnered over 10 million views and thousands of comments, with many viewers siding with the passenger, emphasizing the importance of planning and respecting pre-booked seats. Others expressed sympathy for the mother but agreed that seat swapping is not an obligation.
