Shymkent Secures Major Investment Deal with Tengizchevroil
Shymkent, Kazakhstan, becomes the first region in the country to benefit from Tengizchevroil's initiative to support local businesses. The visit of the company's delegation to Shymkent resulted in an exhibition of local products and negotiations with entrepreneurs. Gabit Syzdykbekov, the mayor of Shymkent, met with representatives of Tengizchevroil and local entrepreneurs. As a result of the negotiations, four memorandums were signed on cooperation and product supply. Among the new partners are local enterprises such as "Barys-2007" LLP, "Baiterek Agro" LLP, and "Intermilk Kazakhstan" LLP. In addition, an agreement was reached between "Hill Corporation" LLP and Tengizchevroil on the supply of lubricating materials. Such off-take agreements provide local producers with stable orders and development opportunities. This is an important step towards strengthening the region's industrial potential and increasing the share of Kazakhstani content in large industrial projects. The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the prospects for implementing joint projects with the "International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Machinery" association. In the next stage, it is planned to organize a visit to Shymkent by representatives of large oil and gas companies such as KMG Kashagan B.V., Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO), and North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC). During the visit, it is planned to sign new agreements aimed at expanding cooperation and enhancing the potential of local entrepreneurship.
