Austin "No Kings" Protest Draws Hundreds Despite Threats and Heavy Security A significant protest against what participants described as authoritarian moves took place at the Texas State Capitol on June 15th, 2025. Hundreds of people, ranging in age from young children to senior citizens, gathered to voice their concerns. While the capitol building was evacuated around 1 PM due to a credible threat, with a suspect arrested in Lagrange at 4:30 PM, the rally remained peaceful throughout the day.
