A cruise ship crew member has shed light on the strict regulations governing interactions between staff and passengers, revealing that any romantic involvement could lead to immediate contract termination. Luke Osey, a magician working on a cruise ship, recently addressed a viewer's query about handling guest advances in a social media video. Osey explained that company policy strictly prohibits relationships between crew members and guests. "If there was even a hint of suspicion that you were talking to or sleeping with a guest, you'd be disembarked immediately," he stated. "My contract would be terminated, I'd be kicked off at the next stop pretty much." He emphasized that crew members are expected to politely decline any advances. Osey also highlighted a culture of mutual oversight among staff. "All of the crew is like one big family, we've all got our eyes on each other and we know that if we saw one of our mates making a mistake that we would tell them," he added. "Because a little bit of fun is not worth your contract." He humorously concluded by noting that the average age of cruisers, around 65, means they are generally not his type.
