Ukrainian DJ and Wife Vanish After Massive Drone Attack on Russia
A daring drone attack on Russian air bases in June 2025 has led to the investigation of a surprising suspect: Artem Timofeev, a Ukrainian DJ who had recently transitioned into trucking. The operation, codenamed "Spider's Web," involved 117 drones and caused significant damage to Russian military infrastructure. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the operation was meticulously planned over more than a year and a half. The drones were concealed in the roofs of civilian trucks, and some drivers later stated that Timofeev guided their movements. Since the attack, Timofeev and his wife, a stylist and tattoo artist, have vanished, potentially fleeing to Kazakhstan. Their social media accounts are now inactive. Sergei Jirnov, a former KGB officer, commented on the unusual nature of the operation, stating that "in espionage, the less classic, the better." The incident raises questions about the evolving tactics in modern warfare and the lengths to which individuals may go to support their country.
