Germany Pledges Continued Support for Ukraine Amidst Russian Attacks

Germany's unwavering support for Ukraine continues, with Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently reaffirming the country's commitment to providing crucial aid. In a recent statement, Scholz highlighted the delivery of several key military systems, including five complete IRIS-T air defense systems, three Patriot systems, and more than 50 Gepard anti-aircraft systems, along with ammunition and spare parts. A sixth IRIS-T system is expected in December, along with additional launchers for Patriot and Gepard systems. Further aid planned for 2025 includes artillery, combat drones, and six Sea King armed helicopters. This support comes as Russia continues its targeted attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leaving millions facing potential hardship this winter. Scholz stated, "Ukraine can count on Germany. We will not weaken our support." This substantial aid package demonstrates Germany's resolve to stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary.
