Kampung Baru Fire: House and Shop Destroyed in Early Morning Blaze Kuala Lumpur, May 15, 2025 – A fire broke out this morning in Jalan Raja Musa, Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur, resulting in the complete destruction of a house and a nearby shop. The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 7:15 AM. "We received the call at 7:15 AM and immediately dispatched three fire engines from Titiwangsa," stated Komander Operasi Mohamad Ridhuan Akyar. "We received support from Sentul and Jalan Tun Razak stations." The fire, which is believed to have started around 7 AM, rapidly engulfed both structures. A nearby motorcycle was also completely destroyed. Despite the intensity of the blaze, firefighters managed to bring the fire under control by 8:38 AM. Thankfully, no injuries or fatalities were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
