MCA Youth to Assist in MyKiosk Corruption Probe: RM250 Million Project Under Scrutiny
Pahang, Malaysia - The youth wing of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) in Pahang has announced its willingness to cooperate fully with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) alongside the Democratic Action Party (DAP) in investigating the RM250 million MyKiosk project. The investigation centers around significant discrepancies in the cost of the kiosks. The government reportedly paid between RM25,000 and RM34,000 per unit, while the market price is only RM12,800. Wong Siew Mun, the head of MCA's youth wing, voiced concerns about the pricing and called for transparency. "If all PBT tenders use the same specifications, why is there such a huge price difference?" Mun questioned. He also stated that the MCA has representatives on local authorities in several states and will not tolerate any corruption. This proactive step by the MCA demonstrates a commitment to accountability and transparency in government projects.
