A sudden and violent storm swept through the Gugusan Manjoi area of Perak, Malaysia, yesterday afternoon, causing significant damage to several homes. Residents described the terrifying experience, with one elderly woman, Aishah Mohd Nor, 75, recounting the moment the roof of her kitchen was torn away by strong winds. "The rain was incredibly heavy," she said, "then we heard several loud thunderclaps, and suddenly, the roof of the kitchen was gone." Another resident, Esah Mohd Hashim, 74, reported similar damage to her home, with part of the upper roof being ripped off and landing on a nearby stall.
