KKFP Aids SPRM in Recovering Stolen 1MDB Funds

Malaysia's fight against 1MDB corruption continues with the help of the Accounting Fraud Working Group (KKFP). Tan Sri Azam Baki, Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), recently stated that KKFP is instrumental in assisting MACC's efforts to recover stolen funds related to the 1MDB scandal. "The repatriation of 1MDB assets is an ongoing process," Baki explained, "particularly those assets located overseas." The collaboration between various agencies, including Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, is crucial to the success of these efforts. The KKFP's involvement highlights the commitment to tackling financial crime and ensuring the return of stolen assets to the country.
