The trend, which involves users engaging in various challenges for online donations, has raised concerns among authorities and religious leaders. According to Assistant Commissioner Sazeli Adam, Chief of the Barat Daya District Police, reports from several individuals were submitted to the police on Sunday. These reports were subsequently forwarded to the MCMC for further investigation. "The reports we received detail activities that are not only harmful but also go against ethical standards," said Adam. Meanwhile, the Mufti of Penang, Professor Madya Datuk Dr. Muhammad Shukri Othman, commented on the trend's incompatibility with Islamic principles. He stated that Islam forbids wasteful behavior and encourages the responsible use of resources and time. The Mufti expressed concern about the trend's potential negative influence on young people.
