13-Year-Old Drowns at Malaysian Beach: Tragedy at Kuala Oya

Tragedy Strikes Kuala Oya Beach: 13-Year-Old Drowns in Sarawak. A 13-year-old boy, Ammar Amzar Musa, lost his life in a tragic drowning incident at Kuala Oya Beach in Mukah, Sarawak, yesterday evening. According to Commander of the Mukah Fire and Rescue Department, Mustafa Wasli, the search operation commenced at approximately 6:18 pm, covering a 500-meter radius from where the victim was last seen. Eyewitnesses reported seeing Ammar struggling in the water before he disappeared from sight. He was later found unconscious by villagers at 6:42 pm and subsequently pronounced dead at Mukah Hospital. The case is classified as sudden death (SDR) and is under further investigation. This tragic event serves as a reminder of the importance of water safety precautions.
