The incident unfolded near the Nautical to Puter Port Klang. According to Lieutenant Maritime Mohd Syafiq, the bodies of a man and a woman were recovered approximately 0.91 nautical miles from the jetty. Rescue efforts involved the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) and the Fire and Rescue Department. "We received information at approximately 7:45 AM from the KM Langgar vessel," stated Lieutenant Syafiq in an interview. "They had located the two victims approximately 200 meters from the jetty." The MMEA is using this opportunity to remind the public of the importance of safety at sea. They strongly urge all individuals participating in water activities to wear life jackets at all times. The victims were transported to the Shah Alam Forensic Unit for further investigation.
