Singaporean Man Arrested in Johor Bahru for Car Vandalism A 40-year-old Singaporean man is facing charges of vandalism and causing a disturbance after an incident in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Johor Bahru. According to Johor Bahru Utara District Police Chief ACP Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh, the suspect was arrested at 6:30 PM yesterday following a report from a 31-year-old local complainant. The complainant, driving a BMW, stated that the Singaporean man, driving a Toyota Altis with Singaporean license plates, had repeatedly honked at him. This led to a heated argument. "He was clearly not happy about being blocked," said the complainant. The argument escalated, and the suspect is accused of kicking the complainant's car, causing damage to the vehicle's fender. The police are investigating the incident under sections 426 (criminal mischief) and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Penal Code. The suspect has no prior criminal record and tested negative for drugs. He will be brought to the Johor Bahru court today for remand proceedings.
