Muškarac koji je uspeo da ostane trezan skoro čitavu godinu, otkrio je kako je posle samo jedne čaše doživeo nešto što ga je potpuno šokiralo.
A man known online as 'The Mental Health PT' has shared a deeply personal and candid account of his recent relapse after maintaining 322 days of sobriety. In a video uploaded on August 5, 2024, he detailed the internal struggle and thought processes that led him to pick up a drink again, offering a raw perspective on the challenges of addiction recovery. The individual, who had previously achieved significant milestones in his sobriety journey, explained that thoughts of 'testing' his new-found control began to creep into his mind after nearly a year of being alcohol-free. 'I’ve proven to myself that I can have an on-off switch,' he stated, reflecting on his ability to enjoy social events sober. This internal dialogue, he noted, was a 'deeply conditioned relationship' with alcohol, fostered over years. He recounted the moment he finally decided to have a drink at an airport during a friend's stag do. 'It was like a switch, it was honestly, it was like an on-off switch,' he described. 'That moment, literally as soon as I had that one drink, I knew where that night was going.' The experience, he revealed, immediately transported him back to 'the worst version of myself from like six years before.' The aftermath was severe, involving violent sickness and profound regret. However, he also emphasized a crucial positive outcome: the experience served as a powerful reinforcement that alcohol is not for him. 'I did try it and now I know I can’t stop, it’s not for me, I should not drink, end of,' he asserted. He concluded by expressing a renewed commitment to sobriety, viewing the experience as a difficult but necessary lesson to solidify his resolve.
