Greta Thunberg's Aid Boat Issues Distress Signal After Drone Sighting

A Gaza-bound aid boat carrying climate activist Greta Thunberg and a Game of Thrones actor has issued a distress signal after reporting a drone sighting. The incident, which occurred approximately 42 miles off the Greek coast, follows a similar attack last month on another aid ship near Malta. In that incident, drones reportedly struck the vessel, causing a hole in the hull and setting the engine on fire. "We just spotted a drone and we confirmed it is a drone, but we just lost visual of it," said one of the activists onboard the current vessel, speaking in a video shared on social media. The Freedom Flotilla Coalition, an international NGO, has blamed Israel for the previous attack. The latest incident raises serious questions about the safety of humanitarian aid convoys operating in the region and the potential for escalating tensions.
