Activist Reports Drone Harassment on Gaza-Bound Aid Ship
A human rights activist sailing to Gaza with the Freedom Flotilla Coalition has reported being subjected to psychological warfare. Yasemin Acar, a German activist aboard the ship Madleen, stated in a video that drones, "manufactured in Israel and operated by Greek authorities," have been circling the vessel for two nights. Acar said, "When we set sail, we are not only confronting Israel's bureaucratic and military tactics, we are facing the might of its allies." She further criticized Greece's political alignment with Israel, citing its abstention from UN votes that could hold Israel accountable. The Madleen, carrying aid and a crew of human rights activists, is protesting Israel's blockade on Gaza. Another Freedom Flotilla vessel, the Conscience, was previously attacked by drones. Acar's testimony highlights the challenges faced by humanitarian efforts to reach Gaza and underscores the complex geopolitical dynamics in the region. The incident raises questions about the role of Greece in supporting Israel's actions and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
