Minsk's Serebryanka: A Neighborhood Transformed
Minsk's Serebryanka District Set for Major Transformation Minsk, Belarus – The Serebryanka district of Minsk is poised for a significant transformation, according to a recently released urban development plan. The project, divided into two phases, aims to modernize and revitalize the area by 2035. Key features include a new metro station at the intersection of Ivaneeva and Trostenetskaya streets, a substantial expansion of green spaces and recreational areas, and the construction of a large shopping center. The project also involves the construction of a new residential complex with 570 apartments and the demolition of existing garages, with compensation offered to owners. "The goal is to create a modern, vibrant, and family-friendly neighborhood," said an unnamed city official involved in the project. The first phase, focusing on infrastructure improvements and the metro station, is expected to be completed by 2030. The second phase will incorporate the new residential buildings and the shopping center. The project is anticipated to significantly improve the quality of life for Serebryanka residents and contribute to the overall development of Minsk.
