The creator initially faced a setback when the double-sided tape she used, intended for glass, damaged her wallpaper upon removal. Demonstrating resourcefulness, she quickly adapted her strategy by first applying masking tape to the wall as a protective layer. Following this, she carefully layered brown paper craft bands to create a textured, three-dimensional effect, which she noted significantly enhanced the wall's luxurious appearance.
