North Kazakhstan Region Intensifies Child Road Safety Measures The North Kazakhstan region in Kazakhstan has launched a focused campaign to improve children's road safety, particularly during the upcoming summer holidays. The initiative comes in response to a rise in accidents involving children this year. Twenty-eight accidents resulting in injuries to 32 children have been reported since the beginning of the year. Police are conducting thorough checks of school buses, ensuring that vehicles are roadworthy and meet safety standards. In addition, officers are engaging directly with children and parents, providing educational talks on road safety and responsible behavior. Azamat Zhamukov, a senior inspector, stated, "We are conducting talks with children about observing traffic rules. This issue is also discussed at parent meetings." The campaign demonstrates a proactive approach to child safety, highlighting the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and the community. The increased visibility of police patrols and the focus on preventative measures aim to minimize risks and create a safer environment for children.
