Kazakhstan Launches Summer Camps for 58,000 Children
School Summer Camps Launch in Kazakhstan Summer vacation has begun in Kazakhstan, and with it, the start of a vibrant school summer camp program. This year, 424 camps are open across the country, offering a wide range of activities for 58,570 children. The camps aren't just about fun and games; they're designed to provide a rich learning experience. "The camps offer a balanced program," explains Ainagul Suraganova, Head of the Education Department of North Kazakhstan Region. "We're focusing on language skills, physical development, and even chess to stimulate logical thinking." The camp in Secondary School No. 4 is a great example, where children are not only participants but also instructors, teaching each other new skills. One fourth-grader, Anastasia Manilova, shared her enthusiasm. "We're making roses from cotton pads," she said, proudly displaying her handiwork. This highlights the creative and collaborative nature of the program. The camps run for two weeks, with children rotating through various stations. These include visits to libraries, museums, and the botanical garden. Physical education instructors lead sports activities, and special chess teams are being formed. The program aims to engage 95% of children during the summer break. This initiative shows a commitment to enriching children's lives during the summer months, providing both fun and educational opportunities. The positive feedback from both children and officials points to a successful program.
