Petropavlovsk Courtyards Get a Stunning Makeover
Petropavlovsk Embraces Urban Renewal: Over 50 Courtyards Get a Facelift Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan is witnessing a significant urban renewal project, focusing on the improvement of residential courtyards. The initiative aims to enhance the living environment for residents by adding new infrastructure and recreational spaces. This year, over 50 courtyards across 15 districts are slated for upgrades, exceeding the 30 courtyards improved last year. Improvements include new paving, children's playgrounds, and fitness equipment. Valentina Bryukhovets, chair of the KSK (housing cooperative) at one of the upgraded locations, expressed her delight, stating, “All the children are happy. Where the asphalt is laid, there will be children's play complexes for teenagers and younger children, and gazebos for the elderly.” The city's proactive approach is not limited to courtyards. Concurrently, renovations are underway on ten football pitches, with base replacements, gate repairs, and framework upgrades. Berdimurat Baimukhan, press secretary of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Petropavlovsk Akimat, explained, “The improvement works are carried out district by district.” This phased approach ensures efficient resource allocation and minimizes disruption for residents. The transformation of Petropavlovsk's courtyards reflects a commitment to improving the quality of life for its citizens, creating vibrant and functional spaces for all ages.
